How to making two controls have cascading relationship
On Sales order Header view (SalesTable form). I added a Sales Region dropdown (ComboBox). See following screen shot.
I want to make Sales Responsible dropdown (ReferenceGroup Control) and the new Sales Region dropdown (ComboBox) have a cascading relationship. meaning when select a sales person in Sales Responsible dropdown, the region for the selected sales person will automatically selected in Sales Region dropdown. Any suggestion on how to do it?

Synchronize database Error during upgrade
I'm making data upgrade from AX 2009 to AX 2012 R3.
I went through the 'Data Upgrade Checklist' in AX 2012 R3,
the last step is to ' Synchronize database (Required) ', but I got the flowing errors description
SQL error description: [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 11.0][SQL Server]The CREATE UNIQUE INDEX statement terminated because a duplicate key was found for the object name 'dbo.VENDPACKINGSLIPJOUR' and the index name 'I_500SDHEADERIDX'. The duplicate key value is (5637144576, 0, maef).

Enterprise Portal creating a forms based provider error
Good day, I need help with an issue that has be holding a project we are undertaking.
First off I have deployed the web application, and the enterprise portal is functional using the windows based authentication method.We need deploy a AX SharePoint Claims Authentication Provider on the SharePoint application server, and not on any other server. If we added the AX SharePoint Claims Authentication Provider on any other server the enterprise portal will not log you in when redirected form a claim provider form, since deploying the AX SharePoint Claims Authentication Provider is attached to a certificate when deployed and that certificate registered inside the EP as a trusted certificate. Therefore deploying the authentication form from one of the other web front end servers. The problem is that the PowerShell on the SharePoint Application Server is corrupt. When trying to load the Dynamics AX Management Shell it, this is what the shell returns on load:
Notice that an error of the same nature occurs when loading the SharePoint Power Shell. So we figured it might be an issue with the version compatibility of the PowerShell. We loaded the windows power shell and wrote the following:
>> powershell.exe version 2
In order to trigger the version 2 of the power shell which is compatible with the Dynamics AX cmdlets and then imported the AxUtilLib
Then we manually did the import using:
>> . "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics AX\60\ManagementUtilities\Microsoft.Dynamics.ManagementUtilities.ps1"
The cmdlets are imported successfully as it should be:
Then as we try add the Claims provider:
- 1. $Cred = Get-Credential
- 2. $SSLCert = Get-PfxCertificate C:\certs\test.cer
- 3. $SigningCert = Get-PfxCertificate C:\certs\test.cer
- 4. Add-AXSharepointClaimsAuthenticationProvider -Type Forms -Name test -SigningCertificate $SigningCert -Credential $Cred -Port 911 -SSLCertificate $SSLCert -ConnectionString "Data Source=<MCTFHQ01DB013>;Initial Catalog=aspnetdb;Trusted_Connection=true"
The following error is thrown:
Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SharePoint’ , Version=14.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
We don’t know if the above two errors are related. Knowing that the .dlls are all present in the assemblies folrder and their respective bins. And this error is only thrown on the DMZ server, no error is thrown when trying to execute this code on the WebFrontEnd servers. We have tried to resolve this issue using different methods but still we are unsuccessful. At this point we figure the issue can be caused by the a corrupt PowerShell, .Net Framework version, or a faulty installation of one of the components.

AX 2009 - Malaysia GST - GAF TXT File Generation
Hi,
For one of our customers, we have installed the Malaysia GST hotfix in AX 2009 and the setup is working fine. Regarding the GAF reporting file generation to be submitted to Tax Authorities, the default format of the output generation is XML. Is there an option to generate the output in TXT format also?

AX2009 to AX2012 R3 upgrade experiences
Hello,
First off I need to say that I'm not an IT guy at all, I'm actually an accountant. My company currently uses Ax2009 and I am exploring the possiblity of upgrading to Ax2012 R3. I was wondering if anyone can share some of their experiences with me (high level) without getting into all the technical IT stuff. For instance, 1) How difficult was the upgrade; 2) How long did it take; 3) Approximate costs; 4) Is it even a good idea to consider going from 2009 to 2012 R3...... etc.

AX 2012 SSRS Printing lines issue
Hello,
I have recently encountered an issue while trying to do the following in an SSRS report for AX 2012, inside a tablix control, in the Body section:
Header (static) line | Title line | Should print on all pages |
Header (static) line | Address line | Should print only on first page |
Header (static) line | More information line | Should print on all pages |
Details line | Group line(s) | Should print on all pages |
Because the tablix control is located in the Body section of the report, I cannot access the global variables related to page numbers, so I cannot set the visibility of the second line based on that.
Also, I cannot put these lines in the header of the report because the white lines of space in the header when a line is not shown are not acceptable, and the header is not resizeable at runtime.
I have also tried the following, with no success:
- Set property „Repeat on new page” for each line accordingly, but SSRS will not allow consecutive lines to have different values for this property (so they must all have „true” or „false”).
- Insert new field in datasource which will contain the record number or page number and use this value for showing or hiding the line : this doesn’t work because the header of the tablix only reads the first records from the datasource, even if the controls are printed on the second page.
- Try to use report variables and functions: this is not possible in SSRS over AX and results in „unknown identifier” error when building the solution.
- Try to use data methods: I haven’t found a way to access the report context or variables to get the page number.
I have suggested, as a workaround, to either permit the second line to be visible on all pages or move it above the title line, but these solutions are not accepted.
Does anyone have any idea to solve this?

[WHS] AX2012 R3 WMS - Packing slip from new WMS
I posted packing slip from a load, where I can view all packing slip posted from a load?
I I have a Load with several shipments, everyone has its own packing slip... let's imagine that the packign slip come from more sale orders.
I want to have a complete view of which packing slip come from... on load form...
Form packing slip journals I don't have a link neither with shipments or loads
I think that is a question that every customer will do!

Malaysia GST Import purchasing case
In malaysia, when purchasing from foreign vendor, the GST will be paid to the Customs at the time we clear the goods out. ( The tax will not be paid to the vendor, since he is not a registered gst vendor ).
How can ax handle this kind of situation ?
we paid that 6% To the customs Not to the vendor. We cannot set 6% To PO invoice, because it will post 6% To vendor payable.
Is it Ok to set tax 0% to the PO invoice and include the tax to the direct payment To the customs instead ? If we do it like this, I am not sure whether the report that we have to submit to the government ( I.e. The GAF Audit file that contains each invoice for each vendor will be correct or not ).
Or do we have other solution, please recommended
