Sales tax calculation on gross invoice amount excluding discounts AX 2012

Hi, 

I have a scenario where i need to calculate sales tax on gross amount of invoice excluding discounts. For example i have an invoice of 100 having 10 as discount which is entered as total discount in Ax. When i calculate sales tax the system calculates it on 90 which is the net amount of invoice balance. No matter what i configure the system always takes the net amount of invoice balance. What i need the system to do is to calculate it on 100 which is the gross invoice balance excluding discounts. Perhaps i am missing a parameter or some other option in the system. Any help will greatly be appreciated.

Duplicating Financial Dimension on Dialog box in GG > Reports > Transactions > Detailed Trial Balance

Hello Experts,

It's a default report.

I have one report "Detailed Trail Balance" for the first time when I click select for the General Journal Account Entry [and select Financial Dimension Branch = 01] and click ok than again click select for another time. The dialog box shows me two lines of Range although I have define only one range and the second line is duplicated. If I click ok and again click Select it shows me duplicate of last two line of range.

I am using MS Dynamics AX 2012 R2. 

Any help in this situation.

How to save (and show again) selected values in Multi-Select Lookup for SSRS

Hi All,

I need to create SSRS report where one of the parameter is a Multi-Select Lookup. I used this tutorial

the problem is: when I gonna choose the values in my multiselect lookup, it displays a grid, where just only the first row is marked as selected (but not the ones that I have selected in the previous step). I mean: if I want to make any selection, I click the button of lookup, chose, let’s say: first, second and fourth row, than I unclick the button (and the first, second and fourth values are displayed in my control, which is good), but if click the button of lookup one’s again, I will see just that the first row is marked as selected (but not the first, second and fourth).

Could you please help me on this?!

Hello,

I’m working on a capstone course for my Graduate Degree in MS Systems Engineering. I’ve identified Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 as a possible solution to a project case I’m working. I have read through multiple books including Scott Hamilton’s Discrete Manufacturing, however, I’m on a compressed time schedule to complete the decision phase, so any help is appreciated. I’m familiar with many of the capabilities for this ERP but there are a few constraints I need to meet and find out if Dynamics AX has the native capabilities I’m looking for. If not, no problem I can engineer other solutions.

My product line are a variety of digital files. My client records come in one format and they get converted into an interactive multi-layered file. I am converting the manual process into automated workflows for crews. I need a place to intake the files and process them. I need to be able to assign metadata to the files to identify security levels and set permissions so only specified security groups can access and see files assigned to them. I believe I can accomplish some of the security needs against work tasks.

Is there a repository and source control feature integrated with the manufacturing component?

How well does the document library integrate with the manufacturing tasks?

Can tasks be dynamically linked?

Can the manufacturing component revision control the products being manufactured?

High Disk I/O and traffic going to the SAN

I recently updated MR. We are on CU 11 2.1.11002 with HF 3 (3359612). Since updating to this version we have seen an increase in traffic between the SQL box and the SAN. Our DISK IO to the SAN has also increased. The traffic occurs during the time frames that MR is gathering its data. With the help of a blog site I found I have stretched out the data capture windows as we were running into an issue that the GL data was taking longer than the 1 minutes windows that is set in the DB. I'm seeing the capturing of GL data takes approximately 6 minutes on average. So I have moved out the GL capture to occur every 20 minutes at this moment. During these time periods we see latency occurring in AX obviously due to the SAN being occupied with MR.

Has anyone seen/heard of this behavior? Would you happen to have any suggestions?

Enterprise Portal: An unexpected error has occurred on standard webpart

Both picture above was standard webpart inside Ax2009 (Webfiles>Webcontrol) and I'm having above issue on mmEPOpportunityInfo.aspx page (Sale>Opportunity>view selected Item) will anyone give me idea which part that I need to consider to handling this issue?

 

below is smmOpportunityListGrid.ascx/smmOpportunityaddedit.ascx only part that I'm used to modified.

Hello how to create an EDT that can be used in multiple tables. Up to now I have only created an EDT that is only usable in only one table by using Reference table property pointing to an existing table. Now how to create an EDT that can be used in multiple tables?

Dragging fields from an existing table creates field for new table?

Hello suppose I have created a new table and I will drag the fields from an existing table. This will create a new field in the new table?

The new fields I guess will have same properties as it was having in the table from where it was dragged like type integer, length 6 or so one?

Next, is it a good way to drag fields from the existing table to a new table whenever I feel to create a field?

CustGroup table is not synchronizing...

CustGroup table is not synchronizing...

We have imported some fields into CustGroup table as part of customization and  from then the CustGroup table is not synchronizing. so deleted the imported changes and tried and its giving an error..

Cannot execute a data definition language command on ().
The SQL database has issued an error.

SQL statement: ALTER TABLE CUSTGROUP DROP COLUMN OVER15UNITS, SERVICECHARGE, UPTO15UNITS, UPTO5UNITS

Problems during SQL data dictionary synchronization.
The operation failed.

I have tried to delete the fields from SQL, but there are no custom fields in SQL dbo.CustGroup, tried AOT synchronise and Full Compilation and FULL CIL  and even then its giving some errors, Also tried ForceDatabase Synchronisation and still no go. Tried deleting .Auc files and still no go. .. Please Help...

I am new to absence, as far I know from previous software, I can apply my absence aka Leave, which can view in the calendar mode in outlook or sharepoint?

Hence, with these great feature Time and Attendance (Absence function), can we have the same thing? Do we need to customised in order to link between share-point (Employee Service) with Oultook

Issue in accessing the C# code from X++

Hi Guys,

I have developed a logic in C# (Dll) and accessing the objects from X++. The server is with TFS version control. I have new server and added the same with TFS version. When I downloaded the codes to the new server, I am receiving an error as

THE METHOD methodname HAS NOT BEEN DECLARED.

I am passing four values for four methods from AX to C#.

Am receiving the error in fourth method.

When I put dot next to the instance name of the C# the method does not comes in the dropdown, when I checked the same in C# solution the method exists.

I have also used .net reflector to open the dll and check for the method, it exists.

Please guide me. Thanks.

Hi 

Can anyone tell me which class is used to post data to invent trans table when posting a report as finished journal.I want to flow the valuse of some fiels from Prodjourprod table to inventTrans table while posting.

I created methods in Invent Movement class for the same and ovveride the methods on InventMov_Prod_JournalProd class but its not working.

Kindly help.

I found Retail parameters area but there was no reference refer to this
