Hi,
I have installed AX 2012 R3 and POS in my server machine. I am able to open the POS screen and able to enter through my username and password.
But I am not able to assess it fully. (e.g) not able to create customer and inventory lookup is also not accessible. It throws an error(error code:13010) transaction services is not started. Please suggest the possible solution.

We can configure three kinds of price information for a specific item on the "released product details" form.
I have two kinds of items as below:
Item(1): this one will be purchased by "purchase price" and be sold by another "sales price".
Item(2): this one will be purchased by "purchase price" and used as part of the BOM. (we have to take the cost into account)
1. For those two items, do i have to maintain the cost price for them?
2. If we have to, how to get the cost price?
(Sorry for that i cannot find any official document for this)

Hi. I am using AX 2012 R2, CU6 and Adeaca FR10.2 (advanced projects). I am wondering if anybody can enlighten me on the best way to ship a project. Adeaca's advanced project module is very similar to AX R3 project management in terms of layout and functionality of the WBS and CBS. At completion of our projects (fixed price), we estimate and eliminate to get our revenue on the books and close the project. In the case that we are a manufacturing company, how do we mark the project as shipped/packing slip update/tracking information?

I am using Excel add in to import some data. Upon publishing the data, system failed to publish and reported me some errors as below:
From the error, i understand that i need to enter value in the field based on the supported char limit. so i went back to my worksheet and tried changing the value. As soon as i update the field value and move to next field (or press tab), excel reverts back to old value and i am unable to publish.
so i tried to use "Refresh-> Clear current" so i can enter afresh, system allowed me to enter correct value now. But when i try to publish, system is giving me the same error message even though i have given correct value in the field.
It appears to me that Publish function tries to publish old data from cache/memory instead of reading current data from excel sheet. If i use new excel sheet, it works fine.
Any thoughts?

Hello,
I got stucked with a problem regarding budget check. In one purchase order I have 2 lines with the identical "budget code". If I perform a budget check manually (clicking on the Button "Financials - Perform Budget Checking") on both lines the result of one line is "Passed" and the other is "Not performed".
This makes no sense to me. If I hit the Button for "budget check" I would expect any other outcome ("Passed" / "Passed with warnings" / "Budget exceeded" / ...) than "not performed".
Any idea what could prevent the budget check?
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm attempting to install AX 2009 reporting extensions on SQL Server 2014 reporting services, but getting error "You must install SQL server 2005 Reporting Services Service Pack 2 before installing the report extensions".
I have tried all possible solutions with registry update, and hotfixes 957312, 959494, but error still appears.
Is this because of AX 2009 is incompatible with SQL Server 2014? Are there any other ways to resolve this error?

Just exploring role centres to see what's useful, we have a blank space where presumably there should be a nice chart showing Aged Debtors. Only option is to 'view report' which just gives you the regular customer aging report. I cannot see any parameters in SL set up that look useful for this.
Does this have to enabled somewhere?

Hello - How can I set up AX so its possible to give discounts in POS (line or total) including tax? If total amount are 1002,50 incl tax I want to just enter 2,50 in discount. Now the discount in POS is excl tax.

I am running Dynamics AX 2012 R3 in Windows Server 2008 R2 with SQL Server 2008 R2. Both the AOS and SQL Server are running under the System Administrator account service.

On AX 2009, when I stop a period, accounts payable can no longer post any invoices with a document date in the closed period, even if the transaction date is changed to the open period. For example, if the period July 2014 is closed, AP try to enter an invoice on the system with transaction date 2 August 2014 but invoice (document) date 28 July 2014. They get the error message along the lines of: the invoice will not post because the document date in in a closed period. We do not want to change the document date on the AP posting, so how can we get AX to only look at the transaction date.
I have tried looking around the system and note that we have "use document date for vendor" ticked - is this causing the problem? No one knows why it is ticked.

can someone help with the db table names which holds roles and related duties.
Today when i tried to deploy the SSRS report from AOT, i got the error as below:
"you must have administrative rights to the SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) server. Contact your administrator to deploy"
1. I run the AX Client application as an administrator.
2. i have add the user who runs the deployment job as an administrator on the SSRS report manager.
3. UAC has already been disabled on both report server and AX server.
4. Remote Register service is running
i also use the Test-AXreportserverconfiguration command to check the SSRS, seems everything is fine. but when i deploy report or validate server settings from the AOT or AX client, they are failed.
Is there anywhere else i should check ?
