Our customer returned an item. So, we record this process through "Return Order".
in the original sales document, Revenue account is credited through Posting setup in Inventory and warehouse module.
When we post an invoice for Return Order, the same revenue account would be debited. Is there a way to separate Revenue account from sales return account?

I have created a Custom service and corresponding port with File system adapter. Now, i have to initialize this custom service inside AX (say on some button click) so that a XML file will be generated and saved into the file system adapter folder.
So could you please help me to tell how to initialize any custom service inside AX ... seems no one have tried this :(

I am new to SSRS report.When I run the Sales invoice report in Ax2012, I am getting an error "Failed to log on to Microsoft dynamics". I have googled it and couldn't find any solution for this.
If anybody has come across this error and fixed it, please provide me the details from where and how to resolve it.

We use AX2012 R1 CU2, including hotfix KB2769783 for SEPA. In Europe everyone is switching to SEPA payment method. We set everything up, make a batch of payments and make an XML file to send payments to our bank.
Our bank checked the file today (Deutsche Bank) and they told me our namespace is corrupt and their software crashes on this.
Our standard AX 2012 namespace looks like this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><Envelope xmlns="schemas.microsoft.com/.../Message"><Header><MessageId>
The software crashes on the "Envelope" part. It says:
Unexpected root element "Envelope" from namespace "schemas.microsoft.com/.../Message"
The bank tells me this is an accepted namespace:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><Document xmlns:xsi="www.w3.org/.../XMLSchema-instance" xmlns="urn:iso:std:iso:20022:tech:xsd:pain.001.001.03">
Anyone an idea what I have to do to get it working? Can I change the xml namespace somewhere ? It is AX generated, so I should probably change it somewhere in AX.
I have installed the new demo image on VirtualBox.
The image now runs with Windows Server 2012 and the usual trick (dynamicsnavax.blogspot.dk/.../how-to-run-ax2012-hyperv-on-virtualbox.html) for getting EP and Role Centers to work with this setup doesn't work.
Does anyone have any idea what settings I need to change to have EP and Role Centers working when the image runs on VirtualBox?

I have a client on 2012 who generates his vendor invoices against a PO via All purchase orders/invoice tab/generate/invoice. If he then deletes the invoice via supplier invoices/pending supplier invoices and then tries to generate again ....he is not presented with any lines on the invoice...only the header. (The 'default quantity for lines' defaults to 'product receipt quantity'...lines are displayed if this field is changed to Registered quantity and services or ordered quantity). Is he deleting the pending invoice incorrectly? Or is this a known bug?

Environment - Dynamics AX 2009 is installed on 2 servers,batch server is different server, database server is SQL 2005 Ent running in clustered environment on different servers.
SharePoint 2010, SSRS 2008 R2 and SSAS 2005 are running on clustered (two servers) environment to load balance SharePoint and SSRS.
Problem - Some users are facing this error described while trying to access some custom reports from AX.
I checked the configurations in AX, and there are two report URLs pointing to both active and passive node of the reporting server. Also default report server is pointing correctly to 'active node' reporting URL. Upon validating, 'active node' succeeds, while, 'passive node' URL fails. Is this correct? If I use NLB URL for reports, then it always fails.
Some users are consistently gets this error. I am not sure if it is environment setup and configuration issue or client machine configuration issue.
Any pointers.

It is requested to add company logo to all AX print out reports. is it enough to upload the logo via Organization administration/Organization /Legal entities, or I have to go to each report design and update it ? If the report design must be updated , the question is how this can be performed?
When executing a SSRS report from within AX2012 (RTM version, not R2) I get this error on every report I try:

Installation of Reporting Extensions, BC and deployment of reports was succesfull (no errors) and I can reach the reportmanager URL. All user and service rights are set, but I can't get the reports to work. I found a few topics online for this, but without a solution.

HI,
We've 2 environments. one is for development and the other one is for testing.
What we do on weekly base is to export the model from the development environment and use that model to do a model restore on the test environment.
The next steps after the model restore are compile, synchronizing and a full cil compile.
After that when we're testing in the test environment , we can get randomly an error about Bulk data load failed. An error occurred while unpacking data.
Someone knows what caused this problem?
I even tried to reset the usage data.

I print the PO documsent with the paper size 8.5 x 5.5 ( half letter paper size). i already set it in portrait mode, but after print out to paper it is in landscape mode. i also already set the paper size in SSRS report (8,5 x 5,5). it's also same print in landscape mode.
What should i do ?

We need to do quote an estimation for data upgrade from Ax older versions(4.0/2009) to ax 2012.More specifically I would like to know below thing:
How much influence has the number of companies on the total amount of time needed as compare to the total number of transactions in the database?
