I am trying to find some way to cleanly move our dynamics AX installation directory to our local G drive from our local C drive. We are not allocated much space on the C:\ drive and we're hoping to increase performance by using a drive with less outside I/O.
What would be the best way to go about this?
I've tried installing a brand new AOS alongside our current one, but there is no prompt to select the file location. These are just automatically installing to the same location as our current AOS. (eg. C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics AX\60\Server\[AOSname]).
I've also completely uninstalled every AX component and I still didn't get the prompt for the file location. I'm guessing this is getting stored in the registry somewhere, but not exactly sure where to look.
Has anybody ever had to change the AX directory? Any ideas?
