I see that only SQL Server 2012 Standard or Enterprise is supporting by AX 2012 CU3. With the SQL BI platform being a large part of future AX releases should there be any additional consideration on what SQL version to use? From what I understand some BI capabilities are not available in Standard so should SQL Server Enterprise be considered for AX 2012 production environment.
There is signifcant cost difference but want to ensure we do not limit ourselves out of the gates by chosing Standard edition. We do intend to build cubes in future for legacy data to be consumed by end users via Excel).
