Hi All,

In my requirement without line record header record should not save. In "TaxItemGroup" form I have written the following code in form canClose method but it is not working in following cases i) Ax closed unfortunately ii) form closed after focus move to other record(which have line records).

   if(TaxItemGroupHeading.TaxItemGroup)

And i want to filter my record based Project ID.

Hi all,

I've been asked to setup a user with all the ax 2012 roles except sysadmin.  I've got through most of the issues but there is still one annoyance where the vendors just don't display in either the AP/common/Vendors/All Vendors or in a vendor drop down. Neither of these are a custom form.

Any ideas where I should look to try and resolve this??

Hi,

I believe there is no concept of primary key in AX, there is only primary index existing i believe. Please correct me if i am wrong.

If there is a primary key concept for AX, can anyone explain me the difference between primary key and primary index in AX.

Good Day !! when i make the sales order of inventory .during making sales order when i insert new load then getting error which is shown in Screen shot.

Error  is  Numbers could not be generated because a number sequence reference is missing.  Ensure that all necessary number sequences are set up.

Hi,

I am new to Accounts Payable. I have a task to import Payment journal invoice from Excel spreadsheet or CSV. All these are purchase invoices for local rates. Posting would be done manually later on once this is imported.

can you please let me know what all tables would be affected in AX and what classes are needs to be used?

Hello Experts,

With the subjected problem, I have selected the offset account type "Vendor" and offset account "V-00004" for the service order line "Expense". While I have tried to post the line, I have got the below error message. Although, I have checked the following areas for the Financial Dimension but couldn't found the problem. Furthermore, I am unable to understand from where it fetch the financial dimension.

- Project, Contract, Vendor, Service Order Line & Funding Source Detail.

When I tried to debug it, it show me the combination like 21010100- - - - -,

Hello,

The BP error says that several fields are not member of field groups, but I have them in AutoReport field group.

Why it gives that error? Should I have to create my own field groups to avoid this BP error?

In the last version of the document Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 System Requirements (July 2014) is only mentioned SP1. Does it mean that SP2 in not official supported?

Hi all,

I am about to do a environment refresh from Env1 (AX 2012 R3) to Env 2 (Also on AX 2012 R3) via Importing ModelStore.

I want to confirm following bit.

How can I back up current ModelStore on Env 2 ? (before I import ModelStore from Env1). On MSDN I see following steps.

But I dont quite get the following bits in these instructions.

" When you import a model store, you can back up the existing model store to another schema. The schema that you back up the model store to cannot exist before you import the model store."

Can anyone help me on how I can do a ModelStore backup before I import another one?

Hello everyone, I have a question if anyone of you could point/recommend absolutely great and experience guy/company who has strong experience in performanc tuning for underlying AX 2009 infrastructure, its sizing, capacity & configuration. We're struggling since 12 months with AX performance and thoght made several improvement in code/query optimization, DB indexing and many others but still not happy with results. We suspect that one of the reasons might be underlying infrastructure or/and middleware or/and DB tier (SAN, LANs/WANs, Citrix, VMWare, SQL Server etc.). What we're looking for is a complete capacity analysis and performance assessment of all above, with AX 2009 architecture - of our AX 2009 production environment.

Hello Guys!

I' ve got a problem with newFormNameRunBase method.
How can i display on a form a query button where i'' ve got ranges? The query is on a dialog, but only when i call dialog = super(). if i dont use it i ve got only form with controls, which was made on the form and the dialog, but without query button which is creating in DialogClass.initQuery method. If I use dialog = super() i ve got only controls from the dialog, not from the form.


Anyone can help?

Hi,

Having some trouble trying to calculate a statement in AX 2012 Retail.  I get the error message when trying to calculate the statement: "The quantity being returned is greater than what can be covered by the return lot." Anyone have any idea how to clear the error. We are receiving more  and more occurrences of the issue. Seems to be return transactions causing the issue.

Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

Hi,

I have implemented a new workflow, and I have used an automatic Task. I have configured the automatic task to send a notification when it is executed. The code implemented in the automatic task works and the whole workflow works and complete successfully.

But the notification for the Automatic Task is not send! Have you got the same behavior? I tried to debug the Microsoft code and It seems there is no code implemented to send the notification : so standard bug.

Can you help please?

I´m having problem with the real-time service. I have gone trough all the material of Setup and troubleshooting in the subject by Shane Erstad without any luck.

On setup of the Real-time service I get this error:
