Hello, I'm worried about the LedgerEliminationTmpJournalLine table, it has high growth rate. It appears that those records are temporal. ¿Anybody knows why this table has too many records and if what would be the impact of deleting those records?.

I have a client using a very old AX 2009. For Sales Orders, they utilize the auto misc charge feature in order to tack on charges to items and customers. They have two different types of Misc Charges, we'll refer to them as charge A and charge B. Some customers will have both charge A & B for certain items, and they'd like to be able to do this automatically. Is there a best practice for utilizing multiple auto-charges for a customer? For example, Charge A is mostly related to customer relationships, whereas Charge B is mostly related to items being sold. There are times where Charge A is based on an item, but the majority of it stems for Customer relationships. What is the best practice for multiple auto-charges per line?

We are currently running AX 2012 R3 in one country, say country A with X concepts in YY stores, in the next one year, there will be an addition of ZZ stores, in 2 different countries, this will increase store in country A and introduce new stores in country B. There will also be an addition of M new concepts with the growth of those many store. In terms of legal entities there will be three legal entities, country A and B and one consolidation company in country C acting as a consolidator. For country C, it will mainly consolidate all the stocks received before shipping them to country A and B where the selling will happen.
My questions:
1. Since we already have bought a Dynamics 365 Operations Server license for country A (it has been running since 2017), do we need to procure other D 365 Ops Server licenses for country B and C?
2. Can we use the same database but create different entities based on the regions? on a scale of 1 to 10, how risky is it to run in this centralized scenario?
3. If we are to run all companies off one database, will this also reduce other subsequent licenses for back-end users?

Need your help in a case I have in AX2012R3.
We are now working with users who will be using the system in Arabic language. When we change the AX client language all changes very nicely.. how ever the product names are coming in English.. I noticed that there is an option of translation on the product itself.. I added the translation of couple of products.. but when Ax client is opened in Arabic language the product names are still coming in English..
What am I missing here? Appreciate experts inputs.

I have a field in a table that should be non-editable for all users. using a role I need to make the field allow editable. Is there any way to do so?
I'm looking for the most logical method to hide a form field after the form datasource is available.
For info, the form is SalesTable.
I want to hide the field when opening from ListPage or when navigating between Sales orders using the record navigation at the bottom of forms.
For example, then I can check data value and hide the field.

I'm asking about the Country of Origin field (Where the product is manufactured in), on "Released product details" form in AX,
I found only 1 field on "Foreign trade" > "Origin : Country/Region", i dont know if it's the correct field or not.

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on where we can check to pinpoint our issue please? AX2012 CU8, users on remote desktops/thin clients.
We have a user that got married and changed their surname.
Procedures we carried out so far are:-
Old AX user deleted.
Active directory updated with new user name
New user imported to AX from active directory with EPDefaultProfile.
Worker update with new surname.
User and work linked with relation set from newly update worker profile.
now everything is working correctly except their home page just shows an error.. telling us to check the event logs. We think this is stating...
Unable to connect to an Application Object Server. A company name or server name may not be specified correctly in the client configuration, or the server specified may not be available.
We have checked everything we know to try and fix this:-
Cleared usage data
cleared and re-assigned roles
checked for default company name
checked the EP security is ok, and even added new user as a named profile.
Assigned user a different user profile.
Nothing has worked. We even tried opening up the webpage directly out of AX in the user desktop and this also fails...
Every other user on the remote desktop is fine and non one else is getting any errors, so it must be down to the name change we have carried out in some way. We have created numerous new workers/user previous to this with no issues so are stuck at the moment.
Is there anywhere else that we have overlooked that needs changing/checking please?

We are using project type: Internal, in our current manual process when we issue inventory to project then below ledger type is posted:
Amount | Posting type |
64,960.00 | WIP |
-64,960.00 | Inventory issuance |
Once the project has been completed then transfer the WIP to Project GL
But in AX 2012-R3 following ledger has been posted:
Amount | Posting type |
-64,960.00 | Project-cost-item |
64,960.00 | Project-WIP-Cost-Item |
64,960.00 | Project-Cost |
-64,960.00 | Inventory issuance |
Anyone have any idea what is the purpose above posting types.

We're noticing that no matter what we do to prevent an item from creating a planned order of any type, if there's an open sales order with that item it will generate a planned order. Is there any way to stop this from happening?

We are in need of a suggestion on how we can further relate prodcalctrans and prodroutetrans.
Currently, we are relating it thru resource and wrkctrid and transtype
But we are having trouble displaying one of the routes which has a transtype Time because the on prodcalctrans it has a transtype quantity.
The data of the resource on prodcalctrans displays on the report we did which has a transtype quantity on prodroutetrans but the resource that has a transtype time does not.

I want to record both sales tax code and reverse tax code in purchase order but at present it is recording only sales tax code. Though actual sales tax showing calculated tax value but ultimately it is not adding with invoice amount which is correct. But customer wants to record both tax codes.
Any idea how to do this?
