Deploying code containing environment specific web service references across environments AX2012
Hi,
What is the deployment procedure regarding environment specific web service references across environments in AX 2012?
Lets suppose a web service reference is added to the AOT in the development environment. This web service reference is specific to development, there is a different URL to be used in the UAT environment and a different URL for the production environment. Having this in consideration, how do we handle code deployment across environments so each one has the right web service reference in the AOT?

On-hand inventory problem
Hi all, I have an issue with a couple of items. For these items, the Inventory Dimension is Warehouse/Location. However, they show up in the on-hand section as only having a Warehouse dimension.
I cannot transfer them out to a different warehouse/location.
If I try to use the Quantity Adjustment, it will force me to choose a Location, then create a new record in the new Warehouse/Location, but leave the old record (which only contains the Warehouse).
I cannot change the Dimension Group in the item setup screen (to Warehouse only) because it says:
The new dimension group cannot be assigned. The physical inventory has not reached zero on-hand, while 'Activate closing of non-financial transfers' is set to Yes.
The new dimension group cannot be assigned. Physical inventory transactions might exist and/or financial inventory transactions are not fully settled, while 'Activate closing of non-financial transfers' is set to Yes.
Not sure what else to try.

DIXF General journal ledger dimension issue
Hi,
I am trying to import general journal through DIXF. I have ledger dimension value in the importing CSV file. Once i have done the import, the ledger dimension is always empty, but the same format of offset ledger dimension is working fine. I have checked the mapping, it is mapped correctly.
Is there any thing i have missed?
I could enter the same dimension manually in the journal line.

AX 2012 R3 Upgrade to CU13
When installing the Cumulative Update 13 to our AX 2012 R3 environment, will our users lose their personalizations and saved queries? We haven't been able to get a definitive answer and are looking to install the CU update soon. Thanks in advance.

Dynamics AX 2012 R2 SSRS report parameters duplicating
Hi All,
I have developed a new SSRS report that works well but at the last minute I changed the labels that show in the dialog box for the parameters. Now I can't get rid of the old descriptions and both the new labels and old labels still appear.
I deleted the duplicates from the VS report editor Parameter area and if I look/run the report from VS the paramters only appear once but if I run it from AX I have them twice in the dialog box.
I have tried Clean the report, rebuild and deploy from within VS with no difference. I then did Tools-> Cache -> the data dictionery cache and the report server cache refresh the deploy from AX and no difference. The CIL says it is done. I then restarted the AOS and redeployed the report and still can't get rid of the original parameter duplicates.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Analysis Sales cube - add item color description rahter than color name
Hi there,
I have a requirement to show in the sales cube the Item color description rather than (or as well as) the color code (name variable in EcoResInventColor). I have set up a view that allows me to get the colour description for the item in the EcoResProductMasterColor using the itemId from the inventtable and the color name from EcoResColor.. I have then added the color_description to the view SalesLineExpanded.
From there I have the color_description showing in the SalesCube perspective view for the salesLineExpanded.
I'm not sure where to go from here to reflect it in the VS Project for the sales cube.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to sort this or more knowledge on the Cube setup within AX? Everything I can find seems to be more generalised and I'm stuck.

Update Old Transaction Data Using New Account Structures
Dear experts,
Per 01 March 2018 my company has decided to change the account structures.
The old account structures :
MainAccount-BusinessType-Location-Department-TransactionType-BudgetCodes
New Account structures:
MainAccount-LegalEntity-BusinessType-BusinessVertical-Department-Project
The problems are:
- There are transactions that occur during January 2018 to February 2018 that still use the old structure.
- Per 01 March 2018 the finance manager has changed the financial dimension values for the Department dimension. The old values use numbering as dimension value and it's all now suspended. The new values use code as dimension value. Example : 00001 - IT Department is changed to IT - IT Department.
Management asked me to update these transactions so that those transaction use the new financial dimensions without being done manually. Is it possible to do that by either by functionality or technically? Need your advice please.

Packing slip post for Intercompany direct delivery: Tax is regulated, sales orders cannot be rearranged
Hello AX experts,
Browsing through previous posts, I know this error has come up numerous times but none seems to provide a way out for where I'm stuck ...
So I have set up a cross company direct delivery in AX 2012R2, that is:
Company A sells to Company B via Intercompany sales order (an equivalent Purchase order is created in Company B);
Then Company B sells to end customer via a normal sales order.
Order fulfillment occurs in Company A (Pick, Pack, Invoice). Since it's direct delivery, Pick/Pack/Invoice in Company B are automated.
The problem is, we always override sales tax in Company B's sales order using a 3rd party software. Now when I post packing slip for the intercompany sales order, I got this error:
"Sales orders cannot be rearranged when individual sales orders are tax regulated.
Remove the regulation on the orders, rearrange and regulate the tax on the summary order."
We don't want to summarize or group any postings. We want the chain of orders each has its own separate postings of packing slips and invoices. Summary Update parameters are set to None.
Please help point a direction. Many thanks ...

How can I add a photo just under a field in SSRS report?
I tried to add a new row under the row containing fields. But, Sometimes, the field row and photo row are separated by new page. Also, layout is not good.

Purchasing Policies - Use requested date as accounting date tick box - can't be ticked
Hi All,
Anyone might have the same experience, I was trying change some settings in the Dates fast tab in an active Purchasing Policies in Test environment, but for some reason, it is not allowing me to check/uncheck it.
I do have the proper security access as I have System Administrator role. Is there any setup/access I need to make necessary changes?
