How can I evidence Device and User CALs (with device/user name, role, CAL level, and so) in Dynamics AX 2012 R2? Is there any report able to retrieve both CALs listed?

Getting a Null reference error in query range in Dynamics 365
Hi All,
I am getting a Null reference exception error in query range.
I have created extension class of ProjStatement class. For the customization requirement I have used new EDT for ForecastModelId. Created Parm method parmARPforecastModelId.
In extension class in queryBudget method used Chain of command and changed query range value, but getting null reference error.

How the unit price displayed in sales line

There is a price for an item , this price automatically displayed in sales line,
If there is no price in item level. how we can give the unit price in sales line level.
is there any policies to calculate the unit prices and quantity.

The value '' in the field 'Position' is not found in the table 'Position details'
Good Afternoon All,
I came across this issue and was wondering if anyone has experience this. When attempting to Edit the Employee Fixed Compensation Plan, an error is thrown stating that "the value '' in the field 'Position' is not found in the table 'Position details'". I looked in the DB and was able to find the position in the HcmPositionDetail table.
Also, it appears that all the other Position setup steps are correct. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Scrap in AX
Hi, I have a question regarding scrap in AX 2012.
If the Production quantity is 100 and I enter scrap as 2% for each line of the BOM, I want the output qty to be inclusive of the scrap. I want it to be 100% instead of 102%. How do you do it in AX 2012?

Production Order route operation
Dear All,
Hi, once again came into the problem where i am have a simple and complex route scenario.
1) having product with 6 Operation which should be move sequential way means first operation finished then 2nd operation get started till that system should not allowed to start next operation.
10 --> 20 --> 30 --> 40 --> 50 --> 60
2) having complex routes where first 2 operation parallel and 3 operation and then 3 operation parallel then 7 then 8.
10 --> --> 40
--> 30 -- > 50 --> 70 --> 80
20 --> --> 60
there is no control in production module if the operation is completed or not system allowing to register the FG which is wrong and system should not allowed this. even i hide the option accept error but still i am in trouble due to registration of product.

Multiselect lookup on a Grid Control
Hello everyone,
I have to create a multiselect lookup on a grid Control. I have tried the following:
In Class declaration:
SysLookupMultiSelectCtrl msCtrl;
In form's init method:
msCtrl = SysLookupMultiSelectCtrl::construct(element, GridControl, queryStr(aotQueryName));
When the control isn't in grid, it works. But when i try the above code on my GridControl it blocks the system.
Can anyone help please?

AX D365O - Transfer orders - Ship and receive with same license plate numbers
Hi All,
I am facing an issue using transfer order process in D365O. Need help.
We would like to Ship 10 pallets from WH1 and receive same 10 Pallets at WH2 by scanning the same LP printed at WH1.
In current process system consolidates all picked items into one target license plate and loses the actual license plate number and information of pallets that were picked. This forces to print new license plate numbers in receiving warehouse while moving to bin locations.
Ex: My stock on hand is as below
1. Transfer order of quantity 10,000Kgs
2. Ideal size of each pallet 1000Kg. But since the items are random weight items there could be more or less weight on each pallet. Unit conversions and sequence id are setup for 1 Pallet =1000 Kgs.

4. Work templates are created to split works by Pallet. So system creates 10 work orders for 1000 Kgs (Pallet size) each.
Warehouse workers would like to full pallets as it is. Since all the pallets do not have standard quantity on it either or short pick on mobile device
Is there any way when user scans the license plate that takes the full quantity on license plate and totals up against transfer order quantity?
It should allow users to keep on picking any pallets from the same batch until the transfer order quantity is reached allowing over/under pick percentage setup on released products/Transfer order lines.

How to split production planned order automatically
Hello there guys!
I would like to know if in AX 2012 able to split production planned order automatically?
Given an scenario,
SO-A001 order item no. P-001 of 10,000 pcs of pen.
When run master scheduling, system will split planned order into 2,000 pcs for 5 planned order. That will make up 10,000 for SO-A001.
Reason : Split the planned order into small quantities so production floor able to complete job based on the bottleneck from different processes.
I tried release product > Plan tab > Default Order Settings button
Default Order Settings form, under Inventory tab there is a field called Multiple which I assign 2,000 pcs.
When I run manual production order, system will throw error message if my quantity less than 2,000 pcs. But when create SO, planned production order generated only one order with quantity of 10,000 pcs

Upload Data City Only for Customer Master Data
Dear All,
Currently our master data for customer not completed, for some record, in this case field city not filled yet.
is there any feature to upload the city ,
if I upload at sql directly, anyonce could inform how many and what is the related table for customer city field.
I need to prevent if I upload from sql, its only update at some table/ missing update at some table.

Dear All,
I want to ask about system setup,
its related with Finance stuff, I not yet if detail, since I'm IT Person
where is the location related with COA,
for example, for Payment Journal Account, I set to COA # 300 for Cost , and set to Coa 100 for Bank.
and another question is :
When doing settlement of invoices against payments, can we have the advances directly set off?
When posting vendor invoice, can we have posted to 2 accounts: Account Payable & Payment on Accounts ?

Update unit price on Sales Order Line based on Requested ship date
Hi everyone, I would like to ask on how can I achieve updating the unit price in sales line based on requested ship date?
As we have tested, the unit price gets its value from the most recent activated item price based on its creation date. However, the sales order has a requested ship date that is from the past and needs to reflect the correct standard cost that is within the effectivity date of the previous costing version.
I would like to know if there are some settings that I need to look into, or if there something I can do from the development side.
Is this possible?

Call a Form method from FormDataFieldEventHandler
Hi,
I am customizing InventTransferOrders Form. I want to initialize few fields based on newly created custom field.
I want to call form method 'updateItemId()' to run the logic for initializing ItemId field. I created the event handler of 'onModified()' method. I have initialized the FormRun object and trying to call form methods from it but I cannot see the method.
Can you please help me how I can call form methods and variables in event handler?

Sending SSRS Report as Email Attachment fails in Batch - AX 2012
Hi Friends,
I am sending SSRS Reports as Email attachment using Batch. But during Batch, batch job gets ended but email is not sent. Even logs do not throw any infolog.
Email parameter setup is done. Batch group is also attached in Batch created for sending email.
If I send the same SSRS report as Email attachment manually, It works. Email is sent in this case. Please help!

Connecting tableau to Microsoft Dynamics without live connection
Hello,
I am looking to extract data from a Microsoft Dynamics database (sales, purchasing, etc.), but the owner of the database is uneasy with allowing a direct connection. Does anyone have experience working on this issue and connecting Tableau to the data? My thought was that we might be able to run a backup copy of the database and connect Tableau to that.
Is that possible?

Record already exists error on Batch Creation, PO Creation
I am getting following error while creating new lines in transfer journal, batch, po and pick list line,
Cannot create a record in Inventory transactions originator (InventTransOrigin) record already exist

Full Text Index in Table
Dear All,
I know from my friend that the table having Table Group Property = Main OR Group can apply only "Full Text Index".
Is't mandatory to set "CreateRecIdIndex" to YES. Why ?
Can you please elaborate me why not use with other Table Group property ?
Please give me more shed on this.
