How do I record User changes in the database log?
I have set up the recording of user deletions but would also like to record changes to user details such as the addition or removal of security roles.
For user deletions I selected table "User Information" and clicked Delete.
For user changes I tried selecting the same table and clicked Update but no changes are being recorded.

Email Parameters
Good Morning,
I am trying to setup email parameters
As,our admin has already created SMTP server and he gave all details in email parameters in ax
Now i want to test that email parameters are working or not.
Is there any validation or any job code to know whether the email parameters are correct are not.
Please provide any help.

Original Sales Tax on RMA Order (New Return)
We are currently running Ax 2012 R2 and have run into the issue of a tax change in New Jersey. We automatically create core RMAs for all of our products that we sell which we need to go out and retrieve.
Does AX have the ability to charge the original tax amount during the invoicing of an RMA? I've been doing some research and it seems like creating a Sales Tax Schedule is the way to go.
I'd rather handle it through base functionality that have to dig into the tax code.

Stock Adjustment Journal Error
Hi All,
When i try to post the stock adjustment journal i get the below error,
Function Calc Sales price has been incorrectly called.
The journal is not posted and the update is cancelled.
Anyidea on this error? Kindly suggest me some ideas on this

Pulling of Transactions
Good day Experts!
May I seek your advise with regards to our issue in pulling of transactions?
This is our scenario:
We have a store from a far location and the connection is not quite reliable. We also applied hotfix particularly in pulling of un-pulled transactions.
Now, I noticed that the rpf file coming from the store is around 484 MB worth of transactions that will be replicated in HQ.
This is the rpf file found in the store.
And this is the rpf file downloaded in HQ:
My question is, since we are having some issues in the consistency of connection in our store connecting to HQ. What if during replication/downloading of rpf file from store to HQ the connection suddenly lost? How does the rpf file behaves? Is it like direct download or just like in torrent (resumes when the connection is established).

Application Explorer menu not available in VS 2015.
Hi,
As far as I know after installing Dynamics (with Visual Studio Tools checked in custom installation components tree), there is an Application Explorer menu available in Visual Studio.
But is it available in Visual Studio 2015, or only available in Visual Studio 2010 (or now 2013 as well)?
Also there is only one option available to work on from Visual Studio 2010 Application explorer and that is SSRS report development. Is it used for any other development tasks?

Financial dimension import from CSV to D365O
Hi All,
Can anyone please guide me how can I import financial dimension against each customer in AX 7 from a csv file.
There is one field in custTable which is ledgerDimension for this purpose.
User has provided all dimensions in separate columns e.g. Department, Cost centre, BusinessUnit , Employee.
I have heard that there have been slight changes in AX7 new classes arre released to handle financial dimensions. How can I best use these classes to achieve this requirement?

Dear Experts,
I want to delete ordered Transactions from inventory, below Example for elaboration:
I have created a Purchase order and confirmed it, after confirmation a Ordered Entry is Created in Inventory Transaction.
Now if i remove the line from Purchase order and create another line and confirmed it, a new entry will be created in Inventory transaction.
so i want to delete first ordered entry from inventory transactions

Hi everyone,
i have created Query Based SSRS report in visual studio and follow all the steps involved.
everything works fine.
My requirement is to sum the field1 using the expression on field1 = (=Right(Parameters!User.Value, Len(Parameters!User.Value) - InStr(Parameters!User.Value, "R")) .
after putting this expression on field1 the result is for example : Condition field(ASSETTABLE) value = Working will be showed as "king" and i want to count/sum the number of king in the entire table but unable to sum/
how to edit sql query to bring calculated value ?
any help will be highly appreciated.

Parameter "Update capacity plan"
When checking parameter "Update capacity plan" under Production control parameters-Journals two things happens according to what I have seen:
1. The capacity reservations for finished jobs are not deleted, which is very bad in my opinion, and I cannot se why?
2. The job is not rescheduled if it's partly reported as finished (if we have passed the end time), which is good in my opinion. When it's checked the jobb is rescheduled and if there are no free capacity the job could be moved days ahead which is very stupid, if your machine is setup and the pieces you are about to work on is already loaded in the machine. What could the purpose of rescheduling a partly reported as finished job be?
Is there any other parameter that I have missed, I would like to have the reservations deleted when the job is finished, and no rescheduling when the job is partly reported as finished?

Validation of tax exempt number
Hello,
i am not sure if it is possible in D365fO to use the validation-option of the tax exempt number in order to get the "right" tax exempt number including the prefix.
In other words: For example in germany the right constellation of the tax exempt number is "DE" + 9 numbers. If i set the validation, D365fO checks if there are 9 numbers. That is correct and ok. But it is not allowed to put the prefix "DE" in here.
So i have to remove the "DE" and then i can save the tax exempt number.
But now the tax examt number is shown without the prefix and that is what i am wondering about.
Now my question is: Is there a possibility to add the correct prefix there and additonally use the validation-option?
