AX 2012 Release product error
I'm working on AX 2012 and I have a product that is released to a company. When I try to release that product to another company an error occurres saying as follow:

One or more products cannot be released. Validate open product releases in the Open product releases form to identify the reason, and try again.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When I got to Open product releases I see the product there and when i open view infolog it says:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Field 'Item number' must be filled in.
The release has been cancelled.

Increasing AX interface font size (zoom)
Hello:
I was wondering if AX has settings which allow the interface to be zoomed into much like the default "control + scroll up" feature works most everywhere else in Windows? We're running the AX client over Terminal Services.

Excel Add-in Look-up feature for dimensions
Hi All!
We are using the excel add-in to publish journal entries and are having some issues with the look-up function. In the lines portion of the sheet the ledgerdimension.mainaccount column does not return any results is when we use the look-up button. All other dimension values bring up their respective options when we use the look-up option. Any recomendation to get this working for the Main Account column?
Any help is much appreciated.

update a record after copied from another one.
Hello.
I have situation like this:
MyTable myTable; Common common; DictClass dict; dict = new SysDictTable(tablenum(MyTable)); common = dict.makeRecord(); select myTable where myTable.recid = 12345;
myTable.myField = 123; // new value ttsbegin; common.data(myTable); common.selectForUpdate(); common.update(); ttscommit;
What I want is to pass the data from MyTable to common, do some manipulation on data, and update the record.
The update shall be done on common object.
There is no exception, but there is no update either.
I think that the line: common.data(myTable) is not the right thing, but don't know why and how doing the right process.

Error while accessing any Report after installing Reporting Services Extension (AX 2012 R3)..
Hi All, after installing Reporting Services Extensions I am getting this error if I try to access any report from AX client:
Error while setting server report parameters. Error message: The report server has encountered a configuration error. Logon failed for the unattended execution account. (rsServerConfigurationError)
If I try to access any report from IE directly then I get this error:
The report server has encountered a configuration error. Logon failed for the unattended execution account. (rsServerConfigurationError)
Log on failed. Ensure the user name and password are correct. (rsLogonFailed)
Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer
User has admin role in AX and has got all the roles on Report Server (Browser, Content Manager, DynamicsAXBrowser, My Reports, Publisher, Report Builder).
This is a fresh install with Demo data imported (AX 2012 R3, Sql Server 2012)

Expenses app
I am hoping someone can help me please: We ran for a client and since then the EXPENSES APP will fail to run with error message "
Maybe someone here can help please...Following 3 hotfixes applied to AX 2012(KB2908010, KB2960742, KB2978393) , the expenses app fails to run with error @SYP4400439 - "Looks like something went wrong. An error occurred while retrieving the expense configuration. Please try again". Struggling to find why/what is wrong, any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

ERROR : "Object 'CLRObject' could not be created" in AX 2012 r2
We have ax 2012 server in which we have Database, AOS and client installed. We have Windows 2008 r2 standard OS installed on server. We later realize that we need ram more than 32Gb and so for this we have to update OS from Standard to Enterprise edition.
After updating we were facing the issue while restarting the AOS which was later resolved by editing the registry.
I am now able to start AOS and ax client however I am getting an error "Object 'CLRObject' could not be created" while compiling, generate full cil or opening any menu item.
I tried the following thing so far :
Full CIL
Full Compile
Restart AOS
But getting error on clicking every menu item or compile etc.

email notification and batch job
1. I need to generate a report - I know how to create a report.
2. The report has to be a batch job which has to run weekly on every monday. How can I add a report to a batch job?
3. This output of the report has to be sent as an e-mail attachment to only some set of dynamics user. I have followed untill step 4 of this linktechnet.microsoft.com/.../aa834374.aspx.
What else do i need to do?

Invoice quantity does not match the product receipts quantity and its a partial invoice
I have created a purchase order of quantity 14 and done product receipt for 14. while invoicing I selected all the product receipts and on the invoice line it shows quantity 14. Then I changed the quantity on the invoice line to 10 and invoiced it. The system prompted about the mismatch of the quantity on the product receipts and invoice line which was neglected. The status of the order is not invoiced and I still need to invoice the remaining 4 but all my product receipts are consumed on the last invoice. What is the best/possible solution to do this?

Ledger Settlements AX2009
Another question.
We have a local currency as CZK but also EUR currency. Customer has paid in EUR through bank transfer say 100 EUR (local currency equivalent say 1000 CZK). When we post a journal to credit customer account and debit general ledger account of say 100 EUR (but CZK value is now 1100 due to exchange rates) we cannot clear through ledger settlements 1000 credit and 1100 debit of CZK. Can ledger settlements clear the 100 EUR debit and 100 EURO credit at all? I am being told NO it can only clear in local currency.

AX2009 matching sales invoice with customer payment
Hi, can someone help me.
We have a sales invoice which is set as "unapproved" and we have a payment from a customer on the AR customer account. I cannot match these through open transaction editing unless I mark the invoice as "approved" first of all. Is there a way in AX2009 of disabling this need of having the sales invoice as "approved" before it allows to match to customer payment?

Payment proposal: Cannot make multiple Invoices against One Payment Voucher in Ax 2012
Hi there,
I have a problem creating the payment proposal function. I failed to include multiple invoices under same vendor to one payment.
I have setup the period in Method of payment to be "Total" and done the multiple change for the Due date, payment date, method of payment, bank account to be the same for Invoices. When I clicked on Transfer, the invoices appeared to the voucher one by one, didn't combine as I expected.
Do I still miss anything? really need your advice.

Update isn't allowed without ValidTimeStateUpdateMode
My user tried to edit a PO's storage dimensions. AX crashed. When user went back in to edit the PO again he got the following:
Cannot edit a record in Charges transactions history (MarkupTransHistory). update on a valid time state table is not allowed without specifying a ValidTimeStateUpdateMode

How to process an RMA in Dynamics 2012
Our process is such that when a customer requires a return we input in RMA into the system, we dispatch a truck to go pick up and we receive the product back in inventory. Dynamics is currently not allowing me to put in a pick up address into the RMA. It looks like I can only put in the address on where to deliver it to. Is it possible to do this or do most people use a process outside of AX to alert the transportation company where to pick it up. Thanks for the feedback from anyone using the RMA system in Sales and Marketing.

AX 2012 Start a production order, status is created. Pegged supply production orders and purchase orders not created
If I have 'Pegged supply' or 'Vendor' BOM lines, when a production order is Estimated, production orders or purchase orders are created.
If I create a produciton order and Schedule the production order (skip the Estimation step) production orders/purchase orders are created.
But if I create a produciton order and Start the production order (skip the Estimation and Scheduling steps) production orders or purchase orders are NOT created.
Is this a bug - or have a missed a parameter somewhere?

EP - Populate other field based on first field
Hi Guys,
We have a simple requirement. Lets have a Table with 2 fields (Field1, Field2) in AOT.
Create a EP Web page to insert record into new table. Form Should have both fields and 2 buttons (ok/cancel). Requirement is when you enter value in Field1, same value should be populated in Field2. Once you hit OK, record should be inserted into new table.
We tried writing code at table modified and Dataset field modified level but didnt work out. Please help.

Async Client Service Error in Dynamic AX 2012 R3
I have installed Async Server and Async Client on the same computer and I confirmed that the connection between client, service and retail channel database are fine using Async Client Configuration Tool.
I have imported demo data and I have done all these steps:
1. Retail > Parameters > Retail Parameters > Initialize
2. Configure Retail > Parameters > Retail scheduler parameters and click Sync metadata without error
3. Configure Retail scheduler > Channel integration > Working folders
4. Configure Retail scheduler > Channel integration > Channel database and click Full data sync > all jobs
However, I got the below error when I try to start the Async Client Service. I am stuck for days. Your help is more appreciated.
