We have AX 2009 Journal - It says "In Use" , has ligtening sign next to it, and in blocking tab "Locked by system" is marked.
Anyone knows how to clear this lock?

Ax2009 production orders variance help
In production order detail forums -- than. Filter by reported by finished
looking the tab estimate vs Actual , if there is. Variance in total between est and actual and work order has reported as finished how can we fix the hours for this work order , is this possible
2nd. Issue
when. Closing the work order getting the error message
active job registration exist for this in production order, but we have checked all the registration, nothing is open , so why message is still there, can some one please help
I am new to all this, really need advise from some one who has seen this before

AX 2012 R3 - DMF - Customer Records not updated on Custom fields
Hi all,
I am trying to update a Customer Master, with Custom fields. I have built the Mapping in relevant Staging and Target. Entity is Validated fine at Source and Target. Further seeing the staging table depicts that it has an Old execution data (My recent execution was 52 and it has data for 45).
How can I ensure that my latest execution is loaded in Staging? (Although getting the staging data at front-end shows an infolog telling that Staging data is done right!?!)
I will appreciate any clues.

AX 2012 - Quantity cannot be reversed because the items already have been reversed
Hi, I'm working in AX 2012 with some sales orders that were imported from AX 4.0 to AX 2012, I'm trying to unpick a pick list, but it's giving me the error:
Quantity cannot be reversed because the items already have been reversed
Initially the record in the WMSOrderTrans was in status "activated" but the line in the InventTrans table in status "picked", so I assume that somehow the import did something wrong with the data, so I changed manually the status to "picked" in the WMSOrderTrans, then I tried to unpick it, and it's giving me this message. The sales order does not show any packing slip or invoice, so I assume the lines in AX 4.0 were just picked, however I can't find a way to unpick it in AX, is there any other table that I need to see if it has incorrect data? I already checked the WMSPickingRoute as well.

Unable to Update Hijri date after selecting gregorian date and clicking on date picker in enterprise portal
Greetings for the day for all techies,
I am facing an issue with the date picker in enterprise portal, i have two bound fields in axgroup one is dategregorian field and another one is datehijri field, here the datehijri should convert from dategregorian, but still when i click on datepicker of dategregorian the date is not updating in datehijri, i have mentioned updateonpostback to true in axform but still datehijri field not updating the date, but when i press enter key after selecting the date in dategreg the datehijri is updating.
if someone come across this issue please help me.

Is it possible to export retail receipt after design to another environment?
Hi I'm curious if it's possible for the following:
Use the demo VM to create retail receipts and how they would look with custom fields. Another instance is where others will be working on doing all the functional and customizations. When the receipts are done - can they be exported to the actual instance?
The one thing that buggers me is we'd have to add new custom types (if i understand correctly) that would be added to the receipt designer which means it gets saved to the database somewhere.
I was just wondering if it is possible to work on receipts in a different environment and then put them all together.

Multisite Activation for 2009 upgrade process
I'm going through the activation wizard, but on step 4. Analyze
it fails with the following error:
Inventory dimension exist with both Site and Warehouse: 'Site1/WH1'.
Run the inventory dimension cleanup to remove these occurrences and then perform the multisite activation.
If you look online it says:

No inventory dimension combination must exist where both the site dimension and the warehouse dimension are populated (not blank).
This check will not fail unless there is a defect in the application. To recover from this situation, you must manually clean up the Inventory Dimension table.
How do we manually remove the site and dimension from the inventory dimension table?

Product Configurator Questions
Hello there. I am currently attempting to use the configurator to create a high volume, highly configurable product. I have separated the variant parts into user requirements. I am wondering whether there is a way to make sure it picks at least one BOM line from a user requirement? In our old EPR system, we had access to a MIn and Max function.

Can you use Project Budget control to budget at Transaction Type level in AX 2012?
Many companies do not and/or cannot budget at a granular level for a project - they know that they will have a budget for, Contract Materials of say $1m, but do not know/cannot budget for each individual item.
It looks like you must specify a category to budget against - is there a way around this ?
You could map several items to one Project Category, but this does not work either where you have T&M project and various items under the same type have different sales prices.
Any suggestions or fixes?

Error while deploying Ax 2012 SSRS report

I am getting an error while deploying the ssrs report. It says
Error 6 The deployment was cancelled because of an error. On the report server, verify that:
- The SQL Server Reporting Services service is running.
- SQL Server Reporting Services is configured according to the instructions in the Microsoft Dynamics AX Installation Guide (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=163796).
- The Remote Administration feature is allowed to communicate through Windows Firewall. C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft\DynamicsTools\Microsoft.Dynamics.Framework.Design.Reporting.Modeling.targets 466 6 CustInvoiceReport
We have two servers one is for AX and other DB where SSRS is configured.

inventory value report
while I run the inventory value report for certain items I found that the work in process amount columns is not updated till the production orders is ended however another items showed the quantities and value in the WIP columns increased even though I didn't end the production order also.
Could any one help me with possible reasons why WIP values could be updated or not after just starting a production order.

SecondaryCurrencyCode field is missing from SQL
Hello,
I need to enable a secondary currency in AX 2009. I went to the Company Information form in the basic module, then to the other tab. The currency group only shows 1 field, "Currency". So I went to the form in the AOT and the field SecondaryCurrencyCode is there and enabled and visible. I also checked the CompanyInfo table in the data dictionary and the field is there. So then I went to the SQL server and looked at the CompanyInfo table and the field is missing! This is also the case for the EuroCurrencyCode, although I do not need this field I thought I would note it. Can anyone shed any light on this or what I need to do to resolve it? Thanks.

Sales Order line - item transaction missing
I created a sales order with 13 lines. All the lines are fine except two of them. Those two lines have qty of 1 per each on sales order line but there is no inventory transaction. The customer was charged with the sales amount but inventory was not reduces for those two items and I see no inventory transaction related to that sales order. When I go to invoice journal those two lines have contribution ratio of 100.

working in excel addins for ax 2012 r2
i have imported item masters , for all item master I have to import categories....but i have some new categories which I have to add first in ax . we can create it manually by "right click and say New Category Node" . But I want that new categories should be imported through excel add ins as I am having lots of new categories.
so can n1 tell me which table to use for it .

AX2012 SSRS Unable to log on to Microsoft Dynamics AX

We get the 'Unable to log on to Microsoft Dynamics AX.' error when starting a standard report of AX. The report server is configured well on AX and Windows side. The SSRS user has rights for the SQL Server DB and even AX, the server accepts remote connections. An eventlog warning said 'Unable to get version information using existing WCF configuration from local storage.'.
So where else the access rights must be defined?

Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Deployment
I am trying to deploy the AX Office Add in and Remote Desktop Services. I would like to use the clientOba32.msi for my deployment. I have followed the steps in the following article, but I keep receiving a 1001 error when I run the msi file. Can someone help me with getting the client msi working?

BUS layer to USR layer
Hi All,
I have been noticing a strange thing in AX 2009 from quite some time. I am creating a few set of new objects (Class, Queries, Views, etc) in BUS layer, all of a sudden from nowhere I see it shows modified at USR Layer [xyzQyer(bus,usr)]. There is no chance that anyone else logged in and modified it.
Anyone who has witnessed such behavior? Any analysis, reasoning from your experience can you share?

Analyze data button dose not work
In many forms of AX 2012 R2 for example "all sales order" and "all purchase orders" there is a button named as "analyze data", which sould open power view report designer. But in my system i always get message like "The Accounts receivable cube, which this report uses as a data source, has not yet been deployed. Deploy and process the Accounts receivable cube and then run this report again". Actually I already depolyed the cubes and also have them processed.
I checked the code the failure happened in "SrsReportHelper::isPowerViewModelDeployed":
isPowerViewModelDeployed = SrsReportHelper::isPowerViewConfigured() &&
SrsReportHelper::areCubesDeployed() &&
SrsReportHelper::isDaxMdSupported(_cubeName);
The first two checking passed and return TRUE, while "isDaxMdSupported" return FALSE. What does "DAXMd"? How can i do with this? Thanks
