Nes Fixed Asset entry

Hi All

how can i enter the new fixed Asset  in fact the old fixed asset of year 2011, how can i enter those. I am using the straight line dep method.

eg the fixed asset cost is 1000, service life is 10 years, purchased in July 2011

So what will be the aquisition date, value, service life , remaining period of dep defined when we define the fixed assets in FA details.
