I had a report which have below behavior when run from a form or direct calling from Menu Item.
1. Call from Form with record - run the report from Form button without prompt.
2. Run directly from Menu - The report will prompt for parameters when run direct from Menu.
Currently I had added some code in report contract class to set the report criteria for the record and retrieve the query range field value in RDP class, when the report is called from Form or with record. The report run fined.
But when I run the report directly from the Menu, I will hit the invalid field range no in RDP method when I trying to get the query range field value.
But I will not have the error if I use a job to test the RDP class. Why I got the error when run the SSRS? How can I overcome this problem?
My main intention is to run the report from either way and with or without any record passing in.
