What does Connection Refresh actually do ?

Hi All,

Can anyone explain exactly what the Client config Connection Refresh actually does ? (Client configuration - Bussiness connector -Connection - Refresh)

We have to continually envoke this function to output any SSRS reports. Seems the business connector is very unstable. When not refreshed, it errors with "Unable to log into Dynamics AX."

Using AX2012 - ver 6.1.
