Dynamics AX 2012 R2 installation sequence for CU6 and Demo data ?

Hi, I have installed Dynamics AX 2012 R2 (SQL 2012 SP1 and Win server 2008 R2).  I have 2 questions here:

1. before i install CU6 do i have to go through Initialization list(Sync + Compile..etc) or can i do it after installing CU6 ?

2. Do i have to load the Demo data before installing CU6 (or does it matter)
