[AX 2009] filter criteria for outer join

Does anybody know if in AX 2009 there is way to set filter criteria on the join clause of an outer join? It is possible in AX 2012 (see http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg881181.aspx), but I could not find anything like that for AX 2009.
