Hey folks,
So I am encountering a lot of situations whereby, with a 14-day lead time, product minimums, and weekly forecasts, I'll get the following planned orders:
- PO1 - quantity 33, pegged to safety stock (requirement date 15-April), delivery date 29-April
- PO2 - quantity 10, pegged to forecast (req date 22-April), delivery date 29-April
- PO3 - quantity 10, pegged to forecast (req date 29-April), delivery date 29-April
Now, I understand what AX is doing (my coverage is set to Period, with a period of 7 days, because we want to eventually begin layering orders out X weeks).
My question is: is there a setting I can configure to have AX take the extra step of auto-grouping planned orders by planned delivery date? I don't want to send my vendors 3 purchase orders (or one PO with 3 lines of the same product), when one PO will do (in this case, one PO for 53 pieces).
Also, I know that the results I want can be achieved manually in the planned order details screen by manually grouping the orders together. That process offends my great inner laziness.
Thanks,
Tom
