Running AX Client w/ higher build versioin than AOS?

Hello All,

I need to setup an RDS/ Terminal Server enabling connection to a several non-production AX development instances.  The AOS builds version range from AX 2012 RTM CU1 to AX 2012 Feature Pack CU4.

My question is this: Can a Feature Pack CU4 (6.0.1108.2423) client successfully connect to an RTM AOS instance running on build (6.0.947.61) or (6.0.947.280) w/o any critical errors?  

I realize that a version mismatch error will likely be added to the event viewer on the AOS host but this is not a show-stopper.

Note: I would never plan to do this in a production environment but am simply asking for a Development / Test scenario.
