Can anyone confirm the installation requirements regarding report development in relation to SQL 2012? My issue is that the report projects require BIDS which is a component in previous versions of SQL, and the new Data Tools in 2012 do not seem to fulfill the requirement.
Is it recommended to install BIDS from SQL 2008 R2 media, or possibly Visual Studio 2008 alongside VS 2010? If the former, is there a stand-alone installation package available? If the latter, do both VS 2008 and VS 2010 require licenses?
