MIcrosoft Dynamics AX2012 Office add-ins

I have a question regarding Dynamics Ax2012 Office Add-ins feature.

We have a functionality called "Export in excel" on the Retail Catalog form exists in AX Retail 6.2.
Available at Retail->Commons->Catalogs->Catalogs

Export in excel functionality uses to bulk update the Catalog Attribute values on the catalog form. When do click on "Export in excel", i do Save as this excel sheet at my local drive.

Now i want to share this file with the 3rd party who does not have the AX installed on his machine. he just have Microsoft Office. 3rd party guy updates the Attribute value column manually and send me back this file to update this value to AX.

When i receive this file , i save it on my local drive and open the excel sheet.
Issue:
1. I am not able to see his changes on the sheet. It shows me the same old values but not the update value by 3rd party.
Could you please help me on this.
