I'm deploying the AX2012 client to my user base using SCCM 2007. This works, but on our network the bandwidth available for SCCM downloading packages to the target machine is heavily throttled. Because the AX2012 package I have is very large, the AX client roll out can take an unacceptable amount of time.
When creating the package for SCCM, the source folder I've used is a local copy of the AX install media, with CU3 slipstreamed into it.
My question is; can the installation media be stripped of the server components to reduce the size of the package created for SCCM? It seems crazy to package up the entire installation DVD and download it to each machine just to install the client, but I don't know if it is possible to remove any of the files etc?
Any help or advice would be much appreciated!
