An error message when we tried to enter the invoice in Purchase order in AX-2012

Hi Dudes,

ERROR MESSAGE: Purchase order: ABC-001

ITEM: MISC.ITEM1

FIXED ASSET 'FA-001 , VALUE MODEL 'VM001' has been sold or scrapped.

This is the first time that we recall seeing this error message.  We only started using the Fixed Asset capability within AX recently so we do not know what may have caused the error message.

So what had happened on our side was that this item was ‘acquired’ into the FA module in Oct 2012 as a Computer HW/SW item.  We subsequently realized that it should have been put into CIP as the asset has not yet been put into service.  In Dec, we ‘disposed’ of the asset and manually posted the journal it into CIP. 

Please let us know how will it resolve?
