Now that AX 2012 R2 has a separate database called MicrosoftDynamicsAX_Model, is it a requirement to use the "-database MicrosoftDynamicsAX_Model" option when importing a model file ?
We just finished porting our custom code from AX 2012 to AX 2012 R2. We exported the model file and then imported the model file into a R2 test environment without specifying the model database. We only have the default AX instance installed in the test environment. We can see our customizations in the AOT. We ran the Compile and Synchronize from the checklist and haven't encountered any runtime issues yet. I have not seen anywhere in the AX 2012 R2 documentation that the model database name is required. So, I just want to ask the experts in this forum make sure we are doing the import correctly.
