How can I leverage AX 2012 WMS to generate location-based ABC cycle counts?

We recently implemented AX 2012 with WMS, and I am looking for ways to leverage the WMS functionality in our daily Cycle Counting processes.

Has anyone come up with a way to have AX 2012 identify inventory locations based on stocked inventory ABC counting groups, automatically produce cycle count journals, and track cycle count timing requirements for perpetual inventory cylce counting?

Assuming standard ABC logic, A items are counted every 20 days, Bs are counted every 60 days, and Cs are counted every 180 days.

Here is what I am looking for:

  1. Identify WMS inventory location count groups as A, B, or C based on the item count groups of inventory stored by location.
    1. For locations with multiple items/count groups, the highest priorty count group sets the location count group.
    2. AX locations without inventory on hand are added to the Counting Group A cycle.
      1. This ensures that all physical locations are checked for inventory that may have been misplaced/stocked incorrectly.
    3. Monthly recalculation to account for new items stocked in locations that may change the location counting group
      1. Location with Counting Group B as the highest priority would change to Counting Group A if an "A" item was moved to that location.
  2. AX calculates the total number of locations within a count group (ABC), and determines how many locations need to be counted per day in order to meet cycle count timing requirements.
  3. AX automatically creates cycle count journals by location count group on a daily basis to support cycle count timing requirements.
  4. AX tracks each location's last time counted to ensure that ABC count group requirements are met.
