I just installed the new Contoso machine to check out R2 before we upgrade and in the first minutes of going through the Human Resources module, I came upon a bug:
In the “Positions List” form (Comp/Human resources/Common/Organization/Positions/Positions), if we open the advanced filter , then the “Date Options” tab, and choose the “Show records active as of” radio button. The Date options text box in unusable. Whatever date we put in gives us the error “Invalid data type was used, it should match with the ValidTimeStateFieldType property of Position worker assignments table.”
I was going to file in a bug report to Microsoft, but maybe this is the place to start. Haven't found an entry with this issue in this forum but I thought I'd submit it.
