Hopefully someone else has come across this issue and found a fix, I haven't had much luck so far.
I have an issue which I think may be related to redirected user app data, but I'm not sure how to resolve this.
We have the AX 2012 client and AX 2012 Office Add ins and MS Office 2010 SP1 installed on an RDS server. Our users application data etc is redirected to a network share on a seperate server. There is no access to local drives for these users.
When a user tries to generate a word document from the task recorder a number of things go wrong. Either the word document shows up with the add-in loaded but contains a blank sheet, at other times the word document opens but the add in is not loaded. what is peculiar is that when the user first opens word they get prompted to install the add in for word, but this add-in shows up as being from an untrusted publisher.
If I log on with a user and bypass the group policy, so that I have access to the local drives, the word add in loads without a hitch and works every time. The first time a load word I will get prompted to install the word add in , but this time it shows that it is from a trusted source.
If anyone has come across this issue and resolved this, or has any ideas on how to fix this please let me know.
