payment schedules in Accounts payable on AP invoices journals

I have a customer who wishes to post an AP invoice journal and I have attached a payment schedule to the payment terms. 

However, when invoice is posted via ap invoice journal the payment proposal does not pick up the correct payment schedule value. instead, it picks up the entire invoice value.

when the payment schedule is attached to a PO though , the payment proposal picks up the correct value.

Can you please confirm whether this functionality is available for APINVoices posted via ap invoice journals?
