I am fairly new to SSAS, so kindly be patient , if my Question sounds idiotic.
Please go through the scenario below.
I want to have an installation like one running STD AX installation with DB , I shall name it as AXDB.
Now I want to have reporting services and analysis services configuration on top of it.
it is recommended that, we should have a different instance for SSAS.
Assume i have 3 DB instances
1. AXDB
2.AX-DB-SSRS
3.AX-DB-SSAS ya.
Now in my STD installation, i make an entry for few Sales order, and the data is going to sit in AXDB,
My requirement is when Area sales manager logs in into the system, i have to show him, area wise Sales for Product X, for the current quarter, in his Role center how to manage it?
The updated data is in AXDB instance, and AX-DB-SSAS does not have record of new SO generated in AXDB. how to manage that?
As per my understanding Ax-DB-SSAS should be replica of AXDB, so it should be handled through a batch job, that updates the AX-DB-SSAS periodically?
please let me know how this has to be done in AX2012;
