AX client crash while filtering+ordering in a form

Hi everyone,

In DAX v5 exist issue with grid filtering in standard EmplTable or EmplTableLookUp forms.

I will use EmplTableLookUp as example.

The form have

 - 2 datasources: EmplTable, DirPartyTable (second one connected to first one via relation by PartyId and have InnerJoin join mode)

 - grid control which using EmplTable as datasource and 2 columns: EmplTable.EmplId, DirPartyTable.Name.

If user (1)  will make sorting by first column (doesn't matter ascending or descending) and (2) will add filter by second column with two like operators, then AX will fall down with crash.

PS sequence of these actions doesn't matter too, so first could be a filter adding.

I thought that problem with SQL request, but that request is running a few seconds.

Maybe someone had seen it before or have some ideas how to debug it...

PS2 off course this form compiled successfully.

Picking list error no location

Hi 

I have a user that had a part 12345 qty:4  site:site1 wh: WH1 location: A-01. on a sales order

He did a picking list for 3  site:site1 wh: WH1 location: A-01. Then he shipped it and invoice the 3.

the day after he went back to his picking list and picked 1 site:site1 wh: WH1 location: NO LOCATION.

He forgot to put the location and the system accept it.

Now he is not able to ship or to unpick.

Any idea how to fix it?

AX F&O replenishment

hi
we are currently setting up AX F&O and are using WAX in our warehouses.
One of the warehouses are relatively small, 3798 storage locations (1 lp per location) with 370 pick face locations (fixed locations)

we have been trying to run replenishment for the the fixed locations based on a min value per fixed location to generate full lp movements to the empty location, but after 5 hours of still running we had to kill off the job. The only  criteria on the replen job is to narrow the job down to look only at pick face zone, and then we have criteria on product selection specifying the unit sequence groups associated with the products in pick face, eg the pick face will have X amount of eaches but will be replenished by a UOM  of PAL

this is no where near fast enough for a fast moving pick operation where id expect no more than 15 to 20 mins for completion of replen work generation

has any one else encountered this? maybe i have some setting enabled / disabled that is causing the issue?

Hi,

Costing version can be run either from Released Products or from Inventory management\Periodic.

When running from Released products, the batch process is run successfully but when run from Inventory Management\Periodic,

batch process is throwing the below error. Ended ones are from Released Products and error from Inventory Management\Periodic.

what could be the reason for throwing error when running from Periodic and how to fix this?

I have been working with roles and in the different modules and noticed that it does not add all the elements of the action panel, an example would be in the accounts payable module> diaries> invoice diary

How do I add an item to a sales order when certain criteria is met?

In AX 2012 R3, we would like to automatically add a cooler to a sales order when certain criteria is met.  Can the scenario below (or parts of it) be configured in AX or will custom code be required?  

example: Product XYZ is perishable and will require a cooler/ice pack for shipment when shipping to postal code 12345 in the months of May through August or shipping from postal code 54321 (or warehouse) in the months of April through September.  When product XYZ is ordered, it will trigger evaluation of criteria above and add another product (the cooler) to the sales order so that the warehouse picking the order knows to pack in the cooler.

If not in AX 2012 R3, is this scenario supported in D365 Finance and Operations?

Hi all,

I need some help with setup German "Umsatzsteuer Voranmeldung" and "Zusammenfassender Meldung".

1. I create the VAT groups, VAT item groups and VAT Codes. Now I need to match the VAT codes with the german Layout. For e.g. Umsatzsteuer = 81, Vorsteuer = 66

2. How do you handle: "zusammenfassende Meldung"? Setup? Reporting?

3. In addition: our Company get a lot of good from third country/Rest of World. How Do you handle/setup german Import VAT?

Do you have any recommendation/Suggestion for me?

Hi Experts,

We will import employee records using DIEF in ax 2012, i follow the instruction in the link below.

But there is an error i encounter in step #19 after i click the button ok (in the link above). Please see below errors.

  

The errors say's that need to be fill up some setup in HR before importing Employee's record.

So that i ask here what are the Steps and requirements needed when importing employee/worker in AX 2012?

To let know guys, this is the first time we import employee records. Please help.

Your advice, guide and help will highly appreciated and considered.

Dear All,

I have two steps named "A" and "B" in my workflow. 

I was set the notification in step "A" like below. Because I want receive the email when Step "A" approved.

In workflow, I did not set any notification.

In user option, the checkbox "send notifications in email" already checked.

Have create a batch job for email.

In Email template:

 My question is, I was receive three email from system, but I just want to receive once step "A" approved.

Am I missing something?

Dear All,

we are using AX2012 R2 and now are getting an error in displaying journal report"Maximum number of items that can be serialized or deserialized in an object graph is '65536'. Change the object graph or increase the MaxItemsInObjectGraph quota.".

I tried to follow these steps

getting the MSI file error while installing AOS ,

Hi All,

We are installing AOS , we have a database in another server, we have validated AOS and Client in the initial step of the setup file, we have installed are required components.

While running the setup file . getting the below error , 

Kindly help in installing AOS.

customize drop down list of Batch number of sales order

In sales order , for line view, there is Batch number field and we can see batch number and on hand situation etc. 

customer would like to see manufacturing date when select drop down list > on hand tab( for standard, like Site, batch number, available physical, total available can be seen in on hand tab) 

Does anyone know how to customize it to show relative batch number's manufacturing date in drop down list of batch number, on hand tab).

inventory management , dimensions display

In Inventory management>On hand menu, we can see inventory status by selecting Dimensions display, 

there is field of Quantity<>0 field on Dimensions display. 

I would like to see on-hand situation by item number, warehouse, batch number, with only quantity exist,

so I checked item number, warehouse, batch number and Quantity<>0.

But data of quantity 0 is also shown on list. 

Does anyone know if this is standard package error or there is setting to fulfill my requirement.

How to do precise movement of the text objects in SSRS report design?

Hi,

I want certain text objects to be printed left ,right, top, bottom by certain fix millimeters on the paper of A4 size.

I don't know if there is any way i can move them in SSRS report design that will ultimately move their position on actual print on paper.

I had to print the report on the paper , then change report design if not it's not exactly at the same place on the paper. i need to repeat this cycle of design change, deploy the report, run the report , print it to printer and then compare it. This takes a lot of time for just few changes.

Is there any better way to do it?

In inventory management> on-hand form, we can confirm inventory situation by checking fields on dimensions display . 

I need advice of if we would like to add batch number manufacturing date ,it will be totally customization? In case of customization, I need advice how to do it.

Budget import question

I wav an excel workbook with 5 worksheets representing the budgets for 5 departments (Accounts, HR, Maintenance etc)

Each worksheet has columns for the account number, account description, as well as 12 additional columns representing each month (JAN-DEC)

Do I have to import each department separately and if so how do I identify/separate each month for each department?

I am using the Excel Add-in and the routine has no problem. I only need to know how to put my data together. I have been searching the net but not finding much at all.
