Ax 2012 client crashes while export Released Products to Excel using Export To Excel button
Hi,
My Ax client has stopped working/crashes while running the export to excel functionality. The export to excel realated objects are not a customized one. I am trying to export all my released products into an excel file.
Product Information management -> Released Products -> Select all products -> click export to excel -> It starting to export (i got the small box with info "exporting to excel") -> within fraction of sec it went to not responding stage then it got closed.
It takes values from InventTable and Ecoresproductpercompanylistpage form are customized.
I am a support engineer and i am not able to repro the same in my environment due to unavailability of MS-Office softwares. But It was faced with user systems.
Kidnly any one help me with your valuable ideas.

Management Reporter - Multiple calculations in a Column
Please can someone advise if multiple calculations can be achieved within a Column?
I understand that IF and THEN statements can be used but I have not been able to apply this successfully to my scenario.
For example, I want my Column D to calculate:
If Row number = 110 to 150, then = C
If Row number = 160 to 200, then = C-B
If Row number = 210 to 250, then = B-C
As a workaround, I can achieve this using non-printing rows and column placement. However, it would make more sense to put the formula in the column.

AX 2012 with Reqlogic
Hello All,
Our vendor Reqlogic says this functionality is no longer available in AX 2012. And I don't think this is something MS would have removed or at least not replaced with WCF or some other function.
I can't get a decent screen shot attached, so I'll do my best to explain and hope for the best.
When we are creating a requisition we enter something like "Laptop" then the subcompany and department ect.. fills out just fine, but we want to change the department id to the department requesting the Laptop (IT, Accounting, Machine Shop ect..) and In Reqlogic on AC 2009 they did this customization for us, and they were able to overwrite the dimension, now with AX 2012 they say they cannot overwrite the default dimension based on the user logged in.
I hope this makes sense, I think it's a long shot.'

AX2012 AIF inbound purchase order response
Hi!
I've been able to figure out that AX does not provide a standard AIF service for purchase order or purchase order response. But I've seen that there is a purchase requisition document that can be used for outbound purchase order.
My question is, which document service can I use to update the purchase order when the vendor sends a purchase order response with e.g. changed delivery date? Or do I need to create my own service for this?
Can anybody point me in the right direction?

installing AX 2012 R2 on personal laptop without domain user account
hi,
I want to install AX Dynamics 2012 R2 on my personal laptop which does not have a domain account.
I have windows 8 - (single language) Operating System.
It gives me error while validating system requirement.
Error : Domain User Account.
Description: Log on with a domain account and restart Setup.
Please help if you have any solution to this problem.

Sales Order automatic reserve, AX 2012
I have 200 units in 4 locations, 50 in each, the customers parameters are active automatic reserve, when I prepare a sales order for 80 units, the system reserve only 50 and the other 30 puts as "on order". the system doesn't has tracking dimension as the products because it doesn't need the control batch.
Anyone has a scenario like this, please indicate why not reserve the 30 of other location.

AX Virtual machines - setup AX in a VM and use SQL locally on the host (laptop)
Trying to setup AX on my work laptop for testing.
I would like to have AX installed in a Virtual machine, but use my local host SQL to store the AX databases.
The issue is my host and the VM are not on the same domain.
Has anyone done this before?
I need to have my axdomain\axaos user connect to my host sql and authenticate via windows authentication.

How can I logon AX2012 on AX server itself ?
Hi,
I cannot logon AX2012 on AX server itself, but I can logon it from other client pc.
The error massage is "The Application Object Server name or port number is incorrect. Check the values in the Microsoft Dynamics AX Server Configuration Utility, and try again."
Rightly, it is correct the AOS name and port number of Server Config. and Client Config on AX server itself.
And, In windows ivent viewer log, "RpcBindingFromStringBinding returned 0x6a7". is it incorrect of network configuration of Windows Server ?

AX2012 RapidStart - Unable to open site to load metadata
I have the RapidStart Service in place, running OK. I have a project prepared and want to initate a test import using the RapidStart Connector Service.
The page fails before it tries to show me the available endpoints:

AX2009 workflow element events
In AX2009, I'm having trouble understanding the different workflow events and when they are triggered.
My information source is http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc588240(v=ax.50).aspx
I'm unable to find the answers in the Microsoft documentation, or on the internet.
I know there are basically 4 WorkflowElement outcome types:

What is the difference between a Denied and Canceled?
When you Cancel a workflow, does that first trigger the Deny on the WorflowElementOutcome, and then the Cancel on the WorkflowElement?
Also, the documentation mentions: (note with Element Level Event Handlers)
The Return and ChangeRequested events share the same state in the recommended workflow state model. You can implement these two different events to distinguish between a workflow that is returned and a workflow that only needs a change. However, in both events, the behavior is the same in that a work item is created, and after the work item is complete, the document state is returned to Started.
I'm not sure what they mean here by "document state". Do they refer to the "Workflow State" mentioned in "Approval State Transitions" (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc604518(v=ax.50).aspx)?
If so, there's no state "Started".

AX2009: Consuming third party webservice trough x++: How to set client credentials
Hi there
May be you have read my problem modify endpoint configuration when using an external web service from inside AX (community.dynamics.com/.../105178.aspx). At this point thank you for the very appreciate help!
Now, I made a step forward and have adjusted the endpoint configuration to its need. There's only one problem left: How can I pass the client credentials (username and password) to the soapClient object?
Some further investigations showed up, that:
The soapClient in AX derives from Microsoft.Dynamics.IntegrationFramework.WebService.WebReferenceBase
.. while in VS it derives from ClientBase<TChannel>
.. and ClientBase<TChannel> is hosting the property ClientCredentials which I should populate in AX.
So, if there is a trick to set the client credentials in AX? I really hope there is ...

Error when importing data from MS Excel.
Error "The table data source [MainAccount] has already been loaded" is being displayed when I'm trying to import some data from excel to Ax. I have already imported the chart of accounts. Now, I would like to add few more accounts from excel to the existing COA list in Ax, but the error is not allowing me to. Please help.

Estou com uma dificuldade no AX 2012. Sempre que clico para a abertura de uma nova Form, ela abre em background, sendo necessário clicar na barra de tarefas do windows para visualizá-la.
Acredito que este não deva ser o comportamento padrão de abertura de Forms. Existe algum parametro ou configuração para resolver isto?

Add .xpo class into AOS classes - through BC.Net\PowerShell

I am looking to have the client run a PowerShell file or a .Net application that will install an .xpo class into their AOSInstance of classes.
Wondering what is the best approach and what AX methods would I use or is it as simple as coping the .xpo file into a certain folder and restart the AX services for it to be picked up?
