While GL posting getting this error offset account must have the type bank for the voucher
Ax 3.0 version
i have created a JV with two vendors V018742 debit and other vendor V014080 credit and setting the posting profile as 132412 -- advances for expense and offset account type selected as ledger .
while posting the same JV getting warning/error --offset account must have the type bank for the voucher
Pls let me know if there any setup required to change for vendor or jv level

Ax is very slow for GL Posting

Use of PAYMENT STATUS
Salam!
Could anyone please tell me the use for the field PAYMENT STATUS in the Payment Method form? Actually, my requirement is to generate a customer payment in 'Received' mode (by creating a Payment Journal) and then have it posted magically in the Bank Ledger when I change the status from 'Received' to 'Cleared' or anything similar.
To route this through a Bridging Account and Journal Voucher is the obvious solution but I'm looking for the magical way out :)

AX2012 Split/aggregate the rows depending on the selected inventory dimensions

Can somebody please share with me the step-by-step tutorial of how to implement the functionality, the same as on the InventOnHandItemListPage form, which allows to split/aggregate the rows depending on the selected inventory dimensions (with changing the “Physical inventory” field).

Item filters cannot use wildcard
HI
i have setup filter groups as per warehouse r3 guide, but when i try to assign these to a product i get an error stating item filters cannot use wild card?
i have filter 1 enabled against the product group as well as assigned filter code 1 for item group
not sure what else to look at?

Certification exam "AX2012 Installation & Configuratiton"
Hi,
I plan to prepare for the Installation & configuration exam in AX2012 but got a bit confused. The first thing that confuses me is the exam number. I found exam MB6-872 and MB6-705. Which one is the right one to take? The second thing that is confusing are the training materials available on partnersource. I found something on AX2012 and some additional materials on AX2012 with a special focus on retail. Can anybody let me know what materials to use best to prepare for this exam?

changing my selection in lines based on up down button

Change approver id in workflow dynamically
I want to change the approver of workflow based on an input from user, there is no particular relation between the input and approver selction, and I understand this I can do by code
something like :
Below code fetches the user id’s who approved the PO workflow.

But this is not working as for some reason after I submit the workflow there is no record of an approver in the table for me to change.
I may be looking at wrong place.
Can anyone help me on and tell me which table stores the approver user id and the relation to workflow.

Problem adding fields to InventValueReport SSRS-report in AX 2012
Hi everybody.
I am trying to modify the InventValue SSRS report in AX 2012, but have run into some problems.
I have added three new fields to the table "InventValueReportTmpLine" which is used in the report's dataset.
I have also modified the "InventValueReportPopulateItem" and "InventValueReportDP" classes in order to populate the new fields.
Data for the new fields are generated without errors.
When executing the Report in a browser, the report correctly shows data from the new fields - but when executing the report in an AX client, the fields are empty.
In the report layout the new fields are set to always visible.
I have tried to delete all caches and also done a full CIL-compile without problems.
Can anyone help me with this small problem?

PR Cannot be Created
Dear AX Dynamics Expert,
Greetings!!!
I have a question related to the AX Dynamics AX2012R3CU8.
When I tried to create Purchase Requisition in AX, the button is grey out.
I have already assigned the AX user with full control purchase requisition authorizations, but still the button is grey out.
Is it related to the license, so several functions cannot be activated?

mPOS device activation failing on AX2012 R3 CU8

How to update statusReceipt field in InventTrans table in AX2012
Hi All,
I need to update statusReceipt field in inventTrans table from Purchased to Received
Underneath piece of code i wrote for updating ..
while select forUpdate inventTrans

I dont think so its right approach..
is there any bad impact on system calculations in terms of financial value,physical value updation

AX 2012 R3 client crashes.
The description for Event ID 180 from source Microsoft Dynamics AX cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
Microsoft Dynamics AX Business Connector Session 3.
RPC exception 1722 occurred in session 3 process is Ax32.exe thread is 4280(User: lhadol, ClientType: GUI)
Any suggestions as to how to fix this? Running AX 2012 R3 on Windows Sever 2012 R2. Please let me know if more info is needed.

Extensible Data Security Policies on HcmWorker table issue
Hello to all,
I need help to solve the following issue using EDSP.
Scenario: we have an enterprise with 1 holding company and 3 subsidiaries, all company are separate legal entities. Workers at a time are employed in only one company of the Group but can move from a company to another.
We uploaded Workers in the DAT company and created for each worker an employment detail to record the information of worker's actual company. The requirement is users of the subsidiaries company can view and modify only workers and employment belonging to their company, while users of the holding can view and change data of all workes.
I thought to create specific roles for users of subsidiaries and associate to each role an Extensible Data Security Policy which using as primary table HcmEmployment and using as constrained table HcmWorker.
In the linked query I specified a range on LegalEntity field with value currentcompany and in the init method I specified for the query the validTimeStateDateTimeRange from minimun and maximum utcdate values, because I would include in the constrained table the past worker.
Issue: The policy works fine when I list actual worker in a subsidiaries company but the Past worker list is empty. It seems the validTimeStateDateTimeRange in the init method doesn't work.
Can someone suggest a solution?

Is there a way of standardising text/case being inputted into AX?
Folks,
Is there a way of standardising text/case being inputted into AX? Ideally defaulting entry of all text into one single format? We have a number of users using uppercase and some all lowercase ... its driving me mad we cannot simply set something to either convert or restrict to Title Case.
Any Ideas? the supplier we are using says not, but I doubt they know really.
